The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inspiring Religious Education Teacher to join our Humanities faculty and help shape the learning experiences of students aged 11–16. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive curriculum, working with a diverse student body and a supportive team of educators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Religious Education at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including Philosophy and Ethics.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of a stimulating and relevant RE curriculum.
- Ensure high-quality teaching and learning that promotes student progress and engagement.
- Support non-specialist RE teachers with resources and planning.
- Deliver intervention programmes during school holidays, before/after school, or on weekends.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to CPD.
- Maintain a stimulating classroom environment with displays of student work and resources.
- Monitor student progress, attendance, and behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support the school’s marketing and recruitment initiatives through events and outreach.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education.
- Ability to teach RE and Philosophy and Ethics to students aged 11–18.
- Commitment to inclusive and innovative teaching practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching History or Geography.
- Experience with AQA RE syllabus and thematic studies.
- Familiarity with ICT integration in teaching.
- Experience in pastoral support or student engagement.
- Background in working with diverse student populations.
