Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in Maths and/or English, including GCSE-level instruction.
- Build strong, nurturing relationships with students and support their academic and personal development.
- Plan engaging, creative lessons that are relevant and challenging for all learners.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other professionals to support children’s learning and well-being.
- Manage complex and challenging behaviors with patience, consistency, and emotional intelligence.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s academic and extra-curricular curriculum.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Post Graduate Education Certificate (PGCE)
- Proven record of good or outstanding teaching practice
- Excellent communication and emotional intelligence skills
- Ability to teach a subject specialism to GCSE or equivalent level
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs and managing challenging behaviors
- Experience of delivering a creative and academically engaging curriculum
Preferred
- Experience of working with disengaged or hard-to-reach families
- Experience in crisis management and therapeutic support
- Background in trauma-informed practice
