Summary:

The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Practitioner Level 2 or 3, you will play a vital role in supporting children aged six months to four years. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and well-being of children aged six months to four years in a stimulating and safe environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Nursery Manager and other team members to deliver high-quality care and education.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote learning, social skills, and personal development.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and communicate regularly with parents.
  • Ensure all health and safety policies are followed at all times.
  • Adapt to the needs of individual children and support their transition into Reception.
  • Encourage creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning in young children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working with children aged six months to four years in a school or nursery setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations.
  • Confidence in dealing with parents, staff, and children.
  • Organised and able to manage time effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).
  • Knowledge of early years curriculum and development stages.
  • Experience in a school or nursery setting that follows a strong educational ethos.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
