Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that support the holistic development of young children.
- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Plan and implement creative, play-based activities that promote learning and development.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching and learning across the school.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to update them on their child’s progress and development.
- Support the school’s outdoor learning programme, including activities such as tennis, swimming, and forest school.
- Encourage and promote the expressive arts through activities like painting, singing, and storytelling.
- Ensure all health and safety policies are followed at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
- Early Years or Early Childhood Degree
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and spoken English
- Experience working with young children in an early years setting
Preferred
- Experience with outdoor learning or forest school
- Knowledge of expressive arts and creative activities for young children
- Experience in a highly rated or OFSTED outstanding early years setting
- Familiarity with the UK early years curriculum
