Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that support the holistic development of young children.
  • Create and maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Plan and implement creative, play-based activities that promote learning and development.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching and learning across the school.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers to update them on their child’s progress and development.
  • Support the school’s outdoor learning programme, including activities such as tennis, swimming, and forest school.
  • Encourage and promote the expressive arts through activities like painting, singing, and storytelling.
  • Ensure all health and safety policies are followed at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
  • Early Years or Early Childhood Degree
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Experience working with young children in an early years setting

Preferred

  • Experience with outdoor learning or forest school
  • Knowledge of expressive arts and creative activities for young children
  • Experience in a highly rated or OFSTED outstanding early years setting
  • Familiarity with the UK early years curriculum
