The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Reception Teacher to join our dedicated team and play a key role in delivering a high-quality early education programme. This role is essential in creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and personal development of young boys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and implement the school curriculum tailored to the needs of all children in the class.
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated learning experiences that support diverse learners.
  • Observe, evaluate, and record the progress of each child in line with EYFS guidelines.
  • Foster a warm, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional development.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and performance according to school policy.
  • Create stimulating and relevant learning environments through classroom displays and organisation.
  • Collaborate effectively with other teachers, assistants, and school staff to support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Fully qualified teacher with relevant experience in early years education.
  • Strong knowledge of the Reception curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Ability to create engaging, inclusive, and differentiated learning experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a private or independent school setting.
  • Familiarity with EYFS guidelines and assessment procedures.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative school culture.
  • Experience with pastoral care and supporting students’ emotional and social development.
