The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Reception Teacher to join our dedicated team and play a key role in delivering a high-quality early education programme. This role is essential in creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and personal development of young boys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and implement the school curriculum tailored to the needs of all children in the class.
- Deliver engaging, differentiated learning experiences that support diverse learners.
- Observe, evaluate, and record the progress of each child in line with EYFS guidelines.
- Foster a warm, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional development.
- Provide pastoral care and support to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and performance according to school policy.
- Create stimulating and relevant learning environments through classroom displays and organisation.
- Collaborate effectively with other teachers, assistants, and school staff to support student success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Fully qualified teacher with relevant experience in early years education.
- Strong knowledge of the Reception curriculum and teaching methodologies.
- Ability to create engaging, inclusive, and differentiated learning experiences.
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Preferred
- Experience working in a private or independent school setting.
- Familiarity with EYFS guidelines and assessment procedures.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative school culture.
- Experience with pastoral care and supporting students’ emotional and social development.
