The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum and help create a nurturing environment for young children. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to making a positive impact on young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum and daily routines.
  • Provide hands-on, child-centred support to individuals and small groups.
  • Assist in planning and preparing engaging learning activities.
  • Promote a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and effective teaching practices.
  • Monitor and record children's progress and development regularly.
  • Support transitions and communication with parents and carers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised classroom environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young children in an early years setting.
  • A relevant qualification in early years education or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to child safety and welfare.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or nursery setting.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
  • Experience with child development and behaviour management.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £24,625 per annum.
  • Term-time only working hours with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
  • Six months probationary period.
