As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them engage with learning, manage emotions, and build confidence. This role is ideal for those passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
• Build strong, supportive relationships to help pupils feel valued and understood
• Deliver engaging and creative lessons tailored to individual learning goals
• Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, and resilience
• Assist with outdoor learning, enrichment activities, and community visits
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to support each child’s journey
• Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing in the classroom and beyond
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Passion for supporting young people with additional needs
• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above)
• Ability to work in 1:1 and group settings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Calm and resilient in challenging situations

Preferred

• Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
• Experience in education or related fields
• Flexibility to support pupils both indoors and outdoors
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
