The Opportunity:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism through individualized therapy plans and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate your caseload, implementing individual EHCP and treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments and deliver interventions to meet the needs of students on an individual or group basis.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and complete Annual Review records.
  • Ensure the effective management of sensory profiles and provide guidance to staff.
  • Develop strong working relationships with teaching and support staff.
  • Ensure clinical practice aligns with school policies and statutory regulations.
  • Promote the school’s therapy services and contribute to business growth.
  • Deliver training to school staff in line with EHCP requirements.
  • Support the integration of occupational therapy into the classroom setting.
  • Submit requests for equipment that supports student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Registered Occupational Therapist with a BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in working with students with autism or special needs.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and deliver individualized therapy plans.
  • Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations and quality standards in healthcare and education.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Experience with EHCP requirements and assessments.
  • Experience in training and supporting school staff.
  • Experience in developing and managing sensory environments.
  • Familiarity with mental health services and CAMHS.
