The Opportunity:

As an Office Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of the school. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient administrative services and providing support to the Senior Leadership Team. This is a key position that contributes to the overall success and effectiveness of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient and effective administration services for the academy, including admissions and marketing.
  • Offer secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Manage and lead the administration team.
  • Support contingency planning and data management via Arbor.
  • Ensure all records are up to date and confidential information is securely stored.
  • Handle inquiries from students and families.
  • Circulate information promptly throughout the academy.
  • Provide administrative support at parents’ evenings and events.
  • Ensure visitors are welcomed and managed in line with safeguarding policies.
  • Undertake first aid training and provide cover as required.
  • Support finance, human resources, and governance functions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in an administrative or office management role within an educational setting.
  • Strong ICT skills, including experience with Arbor, SAMpeople, and DBS systems.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Confidence in handling confidential information and maintaining high standards.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Multi-Academy Trust or similar educational organisation.
  • Knowledge of school administration systems and processes.
  • Experience with data management and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a busy educational environment.
