Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students across all key stages.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.
- Support the development of students’ scientific skills and curiosity through practical and theoretical learning.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Engage in professional development and stay up to date with current educational research and trends in Science teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Science or a related subject.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in Science with the ability to teach across key stages.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching in a school with a strong pastoral and extra-curricular focus.
- Experience of working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience of using technology to enhance Science teaching and learning.
- Leadership experience or an interest in mentoring other teachers.
