The Opportunity:

As Office Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the school. This position requires strong leadership, excellent organisational and IT skills, and the ability to manage a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient administrative support across the school, while maintaining a professional and friendly approach to all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate administrative processes across the school.
  • Provide leadership and support to the administrative team.
  • Maintain and update school records using Microsoft Office software.
  • Liaise with staff, students, parents, and visitors to ensure a high standard of service.
  • Train others within the organisation on IT and administrative procedures.
  • Prioritise workload and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.
  • Support the school in maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in administrative work, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong organisational, IT, and administrative skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work flexibly and under pressure.
  • Minimum Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths.

Preferred

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in training others.
  • Experience with school administration systems.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary of £34,184 - £36,442.
  • 36 hours per week, term time plus two weeks.
  • Enhanced DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
