The Opportunity:

As a Site Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining the school site and facilities. This is a challenging but rewarding position that requires a proactive and flexible approach. You will ensure the school remains safe, clean, and functional for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and order of school buildings, grounds, and facilities.
  • Assist in the upkeep and security of the school site.
  • Support the Premises Manager/Deputy Premises Manager in daily operations.
  • Undertake first aid training and act as a school first aider when required.
  • Work flexible hours and adapt to the changing needs of the school.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the school’s landscape and outdoor spaces.
  • Support the smooth running of the school site during events and routine operations.

Required

  • Reliable and hard-working with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing demands.
  • Experience in a similar role or relevant training.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Resilience, patience, and a "can do" attitude.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in school or educational settings.
  • First aid training or willingness to complete it.
  • Experience with health and safety procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary (Point 2 -6).
  • Full-time position with 36 hours per week.
  • 52 weeks of employment with a three-week shift pattern.
