The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing team and contribute to the development of therapy services in a school setting. This role offers the opportunity to work in an integrated, supportive environment focused on the well-being and development of students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group occupational therapy sessions tailored to the needs of students with sensory impairment
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure integrated and holistic support for students
  • Develop and implement therapy plans in line with each student's personal and educational goals
  • Monitor and assess student progress, updating therapy strategies as needed
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities provided by the school
  • Support the ongoing development of the therapy service through innovation and best practice
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and therapy sessions
  • Work closely with families and external professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student care

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Paediatric Occupational Therapist with relevant experience
  • Experience working with children with sensory impairment or complex needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or special needs setting
  • Experience with integrated working and evidence-based practice
  • Knowledge of sensory impairment and specialist therapeutic approaches
  • Experience with functional vision assessments or audiology support
