The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while working with a committed team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through 1:1 and small group assistance
  • Deliver tailored learning activities under the guidance of class teachers and senior staff
  • Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs), behaviour support plans, and care plans
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing
  • Prepare classrooms, resources, and support daily routines
  • Assist during transitions, break times, and off-site activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support student development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience supporting in a classroom setting
  • Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) relevant to the teaching and learning environment

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with autism or special educational needs
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety policies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
