The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a part-time Art Teacher to join a thriving department and support students from Years 3 to 9. This role offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant and supportive environment, with access to modern facilities and a strong emphasis on creative development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality art lessons to students across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3.
  • Support the development of students' artistic skills through a range of materials and techniques.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of co-curricular activities related to art.
  • Work collaboratively with the Art department to showcase student work in exhibitions.
  • Assist in the organization of educational trips and visits to galleries and cultural sites.
  • Encourage student creativity and confidence in their artistic abilities.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in developing their portfolios and creative projects.
  • Maintain and manage art resources and facilities in both the Prep and Senior School.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching qualification and experience in art education.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 art.
  • Strong practical skills in a wide range of artistic techniques and materials.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the values and aims of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching at GCSE, A Level, or IB level.
  • Experience with the Edexcel specification.
  • Involvement in co-curricular and extracurricular art activities.
  • Experience in organizing and managing art exhibitions or events.
