The Opportunity:

As the Junior School Deputy Head (Academic & Operations), you will lead academic and operational management for Pre-School to Year 6. This role is pivotal in driving educational standards, supporting staff, and contributing to the school’s strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee academic leadership and curriculum development across the Junior School.
• Ensure high-quality teaching and learning, with a focus on raising student achievement.
• Support the Senior Leadership Team in strategic planning and implementation.
• Manage staff development, performance, and professional growth.
• Monitor and maintain quality assurance and compliance across all areas.
• Coordinate pupil support and pastoral care initiatives.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance school effectiveness.
• Collaborate with senior leaders in both the Junior and Senior School to align academic goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education.
• Strong academic leadership and curriculum development expertise.
• Experience in managing staff and leading teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

• Experience in a co-educational school environment.
• Background in strategic planning and school development.
• Familiarity with ISI standards and inspection processes.
• Experience with pastoral care and student support systems.
