The Opportunity:

As a Part-Time Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the school's premises. Your work will contribute directly to creating a welcoming and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain designated areas, including toilets, bathrooms, and shower facilities, ensuring they are hygienic and presentable.
• Use powered cleaning equipment for vacuuming, shampooing, scrubbing, and polishing floor areas as required.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of desks and tables during exam periods.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies, including COSHH compliance and other regulations.
• Perform additional duties as requested by the Cleaning Supervisor or Managers, which may vary throughout the year.
• Attend required meetings and training sessions related to the role and school policies.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Previous cleaning experience in a work environment.
• Literacy and good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
• Understanding of and compliance with COSHH regulations.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

Preferred

• Specialist knowledge in cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Experience with exam setup and breakdown procedures.
• Flexibility to work across different shifts and during term time and school holidays.
