The Opportunity:
As a Part-Time Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the school's premises. Your work will contribute directly to creating a welcoming and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain designated areas, including toilets, bathrooms, and shower facilities, ensuring they are hygienic and presentable.
- Use powered cleaning equipment for vacuuming, shampooing, scrubbing, and polishing floor areas as required.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of desks and tables during exam periods.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies, including COSHH compliance and other regulations.
- Perform additional duties as requested by the Cleaning Supervisor or Managers, which may vary throughout the year.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions related to the role and school policies.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Previous cleaning experience in a work environment.
- Literacy and good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
- Understanding of and compliance with COSHH regulations.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Preferred
- Specialist knowledge in cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Experience with exam setup and breakdown procedures.
- Flexibility to work across different shifts and during term time and school holidays.
