The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Rugby Coach to lead the U18 First XV programme. This role offers the chance to inspire young athletes and contribute to a high-performance rugby environment that values discipline, respect, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver high-quality training sessions focused on skill development, tactical understanding, and physical conditioning.
- Prepare the team for fixtures through match analysis, selection input, and post-match reviews.
- Support individual player development through assessment, goal-setting, and constructive feedback.
- Foster a culture of discipline, respect, and sportsmanship within the team.
- Ensure safe, positive, and inclusive training and match environments.
- Collaborate with the Master in Charge of Rugby and Head Coach of the XV to plan and deliver the programme.
- Attend and coach at matches, tournaments, and representative fixtures as required.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with pupils, colleagues, and relevant staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in coaching high-level youth rugby.
- Experience in planning and organising training sessions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for rugby and coaching with a desire to help students develop their skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- The ability to work effectively with the U18 age group.
- Commitment to the highest levels of pupil welfare and safeguarding procedures.
Preferred
- Experience in match preparation and performance analysis.
- Understanding of the school’s ethos and values.
- Experience with player development and performance tracking.
