The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Estates Officer to manage lettings during evenings and weekends. This role is essential in maintaining the school’s facilities and ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for all users. The successful candidate will contribute directly to the school’s mission of excellence and support in a dynamic and inclusive educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee lettings in the evenings and weekends in accordance with school procedures.
  • Open and close the school buildings following established security protocols.
  • Set up and maintain equipment for lettings as required.
  • Ensure the school buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and visitors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to a fixed rota schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
  • Assist with any additional tasks as required to support the school’s operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Willingness to undertake a DBS check.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an educational or similar setting.
  • Experience with facility management or maintenance.
  • Familiarity with school operations and security procedures.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary at NJC Scale 5 (£30,232 per annum), pro-rata for 19.5 hours.
