Summary:
School Chaplain needed at 0.6 FTE, term time only. Lead and inspire students in faith.

The Opportunity:
As a School Chaplain, you will play a key role in nurturing the spiritual and moral development of students. You will lead and inspire young people in their faith journey, contributing to the school’s Christian ethos and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the spiritual development of students through regular pastoral care and guidance.
- Deliver and develop a programme of religious education and worship that reflects the school’s Christian values.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with staff and students to promote the school’s mission and values.
- Organise and lead weekly worship services and other religious activities.
- Support students in times of personal or academic challenge.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the school’s ethos is upheld.
- Encourage and promote the school’s motto of ‘I have a goodly heritage’ through all aspects of the role.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant qualification in theology, religious studies, or a related field.
- Experience in pastoral care or youth work within an educational setting.
- A strong commitment to Christian values and the ability to promote the school’s ethos.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work flexibly and independently, with a willingness to take on leadership responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience in a school chaplaincy role or similar pastoral position.
- Knowledge of the Church of England’s educational values and traditions.
- Experience with curriculum development in religious education.
- A willingness to engage with the wider school community and contribute to extra-curricular activities.
