The Opportunity:

As a Part Time Music Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality music education to students from Year 7 through to A Level. You will contribute to a dynamic and successful Music Department, helping to inspire the next generation of musicians through engaging lessons and performance opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons across all key stages.
  • Contribute to the leadership and management of choral and instrumental ensembles.
  • Direct and lead regular rehearsals for choirs and instrumental groups.
  • Support students in developing their musical skills, performance abilities, and confidence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the music curriculum and student experience.
  • Encourage participation in a wide range of musical activities and ensembles.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and student achievement in music.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art facilities, including practice rooms, music technology, and performance spaces.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in secondary music education up to A Level.
  • Proven ability to direct choral and instrumental ensembles.
  • Strong experience in delivering engaging and effective music lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student development and high academic standards.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading and managing music ensembles.
  • Knowledge of music technology and its application in teaching.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment in music.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
