Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on progress, behaviour and pastoral support for pupils
  • Promote positive behaviour and self-reliance among pupils, supporting their personal and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and engagement
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience of providing learning, pastoral and wellbeing support for children
  • Evidence of improving pupil outcomes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Excellent organisational and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in a Catholic school setting
  • Leadership experience within an educational environment
  • Experience with pastoral care and student welfare frameworks
  • Knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching and values
