The Opportunity:

As a Pastoral and Academic Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the academic and personal development of students. This is a dynamic opportunity to lead and inspire, ensuring the wellbeing and success of young learners in a nurturing and values-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on progress, behaviour, and pastoral support for pupils
  • Promote positive behaviour and self-reliance among pupils, supporting their personal and emotional development
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing
  • Set high expectations for yourself and others, driving continuous improvement
  • Model the values and behaviours expected of students, acting as a positive role model

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in providing learning, pastoral, and wellbeing support for children
  • Evidence of improving pupil outcomes through effective leadership and support
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Excellent organisational and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting
  • Experience in leading or supporting pastoral care initiatives
  • Knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching or similar values-based education frameworks
  • Experience in contributing to the development of school policies and practices
