The Opportunity:

As a Pastoral Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the year team and delivering impactful student support. This is a fixed-term maternity cover position that offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the year team in managing student pastoral care and wellbeing.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging sessions that promote student development and success.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and external agencies.
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional environment within the centre.
  • Follow Trust procedures while using initiative and working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Ensure confidentiality in all interactions and communications.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of supporting students with barriers to learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a busy workload.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with pastoral leadership or team management.
  • Knowledge of student welfare and support strategies.
  • Experience with inclusive education practices.
