The Opportunity:
Join a 12-month training programme designed to lead to qualified teacher status. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, inclusive science teaching with a strong emphasis on professional development, curriculum planning, and effective behaviour management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons to learners in Physics or Chemistry.
- Plan and implement effective curriculum strategies that support learner progress.
- Work closely with mentors and the Curriculum Team Leader to enhance teaching practice.
- Participate in structured training and university-led professional development.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports all learners.
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Engage in regular feedback and reflection to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Support learners in achieving their full potential through challenging and inspiring lessons.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Commitment to education and a passion for teaching Science.
- Willingness to engage in a 12-month training programme leading to Qualified Teacher Status.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Previous experience in education or related fields.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Familiarity with Science curriculum planning and delivery.
- Experience in behaviour management and classroom leadership.
