Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality science lessons to learners in Physics or Chemistry.
• Plan and implement effective curriculum strategies that support learner progress.
• Work closely with mentors and the Curriculum Team Leader to enhance teaching practice.
• Participate in structured training and university-led professional development.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports all learners.
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Engage in regular feedback and reflection to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
• Support learners in achieving their full potential through challenging and inspiring lessons.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Commitment to education and a passion for teaching Science.
• Willingness to engage in a 12-month training programme leading to Qualified Teacher Status.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

• Previous experience in education or related fields.
• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
• Familiarity with Science curriculum planning and delivery.
• Experience in behaviour management and classroom leadership.
