As a Pastoral Leader, you will play a vital role in promoting positive behaviour and supporting students’ well-being. You will work closely with pupils, staff, and parents to create a safe and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with pupils, staff, and parents to promote positive behaviour and address challenges.
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate the impact of behaviour interventions and support strategies.
  • Work with external agencies to support students with challenging behaviour.
  • Attend meetings and participate in multi-agency discussions as required.
  • Assess pupil needs and develop individualised support plans.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of pastoral strategies.
  • Support the school’s vision of 'Success for All' through consistent and proactive pastoral care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student behaviour and support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children of a relevant age.
  • Experience in managing difficult situations related to poor behaviour.
  • Experience of working with external agencies and participating in meetings.
  • Ability to assess pupils’ needs and develop appropriate support strategies.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management in a school setting.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in a pastoral or student support role within a school.
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies and interventions.
  • Knowledge of the school’s values and vision.
  • Experience with multi-agency working and child protection procedures.
