The Opportunity:

As a Pastoral Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the emotional and social well-being of students. This is a vital position that ensures young people receive the care and guidance they need to thrive in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality pastoral care and support to students, ensuring their well-being is prioritized.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behavior and emotional resilience.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support student needs.
  • Deliver counseling and guidance services tailored to individual student requirements.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure a consistent and supportive school culture.
  • Organize and lead pastoral activities and events that foster student engagement and community spirit.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student welfare and interventions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*-C.
  • Proven experience in providing pastoral care or counseling within a secondary school setting.
  • Experience working with young people and families in a secondary school environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering careers guidance or leadership development programs.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
  • Experience with Muslim faith-based education or working in diverse communities.
