Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in PE and Geography that reflect the school’s commitment to excellence.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, using detailed data analysis to raise attainment across all groups, including vulnerable students.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work and individual lessons that are tailored to the needs and interests of students.
  • Support the development of departmental resources, policies, and teaching strategies.
  • Collaborate with other schools within the Multi Academy Trust to enhance departmental performance and standing.
  • Uphold the school’s values and expectations, serving as a role model for students and colleagues alike.
  • Contribute to the Department’s improvement plan and whole-school planning activities.
  • Assist in the process of self-review, evaluation, and continuous improvement within the school and department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in PE and Geography.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning strategies.
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate student progress effectively.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in working within a Multi Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
  • Experience with data analysis and using it to improve student outcomes.
  • Experience in developing and implementing departmental improvement plans.
  • Experience in extracurricular activities or leadership roles within a school setting.
