The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PE & Games Teacher to cover maternity leave from September 2026 to March 2027. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vibrant and supportive school community while delivering high-quality physical education and sports programs to students across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive PE and Games lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
  • Plan and implement a variety of sports activities, including football, cricket, and swimming.
  • Contribute to extracurricular sports and fixtures, promoting student participation and development.
  • Support the school’s commitment to student well-being and physical development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s sporting and physical education programs.
  • Encourage teamwork, leadership, and healthy lifestyles among students.
  • Assist in the development of the school’s wider sporting and community initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation in sports activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching PE and Games across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
  • Strong understanding of child development and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging and structured PE lessons.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in coaching football, cricket, and swimming.
  • Involvement in extracurricular sports and fixtures.
  • Experience working in a school with a strong focus on student well-being and character development.
  • Familiarity with innovative and 21st-century teaching approaches.
