Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the girls' football programme, ensuring it is inclusive, competitive, and aligned with the school's educational values.
  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons that promote physical health, teamwork, and lifelong sporting habits.
  • Manage and mentor a team of PE staff and football coaches.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate physical education with broader academic and personal development goals.
  • Organise and oversee fixtures, tournaments, and training sessions.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and programme outcomes.
  • Promote the school's sporting ethos and encourage participation across all levels.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and welfare policies at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PE and sports coaching.
  • Experience in leading and managing a sports department or team.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
  • Ability to work effectively within a school community.

Preferred

  • Experience in coaching girls' football at a competitive level.
  • Background in curriculum development for PE.
  • Knowledge of sports performance and athlete development.
  • Experience with ECTs (Early Career Teachers) and supporting professional development.
