The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Physics Teacher to join our dynamic Science department. This role offers the chance to inspire and educate students from Year 7 through to A Level, while contributing to a vibrant and inclusive school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons to students across the secondary age range.
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic excellence.
- Participate actively in co-curricular activities, including Science and STEM Club and pupil-led societies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised feedback and guidance.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing clear and constructive feedback.
- Stay up to date with developments in Physics education and integrate new teaching methods and technologies.
- Contribute to the school’s wider community through professional development and staff engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Physics education across the secondary age range.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that promote student learning.
- Commitment to the co-curricular life of the school.
- Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning in a school setting.
Preferred
- Experience with STEM initiatives and extracurricular activities.
- Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and resources.
- Experience in pastoral care or student support.
- Background in professional development and continuous learning.
