The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Physics Teacher to join our dynamic Science department. This role offers the chance to inspire and educate students from Year 7 through to A Level, while contributing to a vibrant and inclusive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons to students across the secondary age range.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic excellence.
  • Participate actively in co-curricular activities, including Science and STEM Club and pupil-led societies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised feedback and guidance.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing clear and constructive feedback.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Physics education and integrate new teaching methods and technologies.
  • Contribute to the school’s wider community through professional development and staff engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Physics education across the secondary age range.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that promote student learning.
  • Commitment to the co-curricular life of the school.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning in a school setting.

Preferred

  • Experience with STEM initiatives and extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and resources.
