The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality PE lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive sporting culture across the school.
  • Plan and lead extracurricular sporting activities and events.
  • Support the personal development of students through coaching and mentorship.
  • Work closely with other teachers and staff to ensure a consistent and positive learning experience.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in PE and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all students during sporting activities.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in physical education and sports development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PE.
  • Current teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working with children of all ages and abilities.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of sports and physical activities.
  • Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning.
  • Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and student support strategies.
