The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a motivated PE Teacher Assistant to support the PE and Games departments. This role offers valuable experience in a dynamic and inclusive environment, with opportunities to coach in sports such as netball, gymnastics, and hockey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of PE and Games lessons across a range of sports.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of sports programs for students of all ages.
  • Provide guidance and support to younger pupils in other lessons where required.
  • Work collaboratively with the PE and Games departments to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Participate in school events and activities that promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students during sports activities.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the school’s sports programs and facilities.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to the PE and Games departments.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant graduate qualification or equivalent.
  • Enthusiasm and a passion for sports and physical education.
  • Ability to coach in a variety of sports, including netball, gymnastics, and hockey.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or working with young people.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities.
