The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a motivated PE Teacher Assistant to support the PE and Games departments. This role offers valuable experience in a dynamic and inclusive environment, with opportunities to coach in sports such as netball, gymnastics, and hockey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of PE and Games lessons across a range of sports.
- Assist in the development and delivery of sports programs for students of all ages.
- Provide guidance and support to younger pupils in other lessons where required.
- Work collaboratively with the PE and Games departments to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Participate in school events and activities that promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students during sports activities.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the school’s sports programs and facilities.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to the PE and Games departments.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant graduate qualification or equivalent.
- Enthusiasm and a passion for sports and physical education.
- Ability to coach in a variety of sports, including netball, gymnastics, and hockey.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or working with young people.
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of child development and inclusive teaching practices.
- Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £21,000 for a term-time only role.
