The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate, qualified PE Teacher to join its team on a full-time basis for maternity cover. This is an opportunity to inspire students aged 11-16 and make a meaningful impact on their academic, social, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality PE lessons across all key stages.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in physical education and sport.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes physical health, teamwork, and personal well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support school-wide initiatives and extracurricular programs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in line with school standards and Ofsted requirements.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and respect.
  • Support the school’s mission to ensure every student can be exceptional every day.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to staff meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PE.
  • Full teaching qualification (QTS) and current DBS check.
  • Ability to deliver a dynamic and inclusive PE curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching students aged 11-16.
  • Background in sports leadership or extracurricular activities.
  • Experience with inclusive education and equal opportunities.
  • Previous involvement in school improvement initiatives.
