The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inspiring Wellbeing Teacher to support students aged 11-18 in a virtual environment. This role offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact on student mental health and overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective wellbeing lessons to students across multiple key stages.
- Support students with SEND and mental health difficulties in the virtual classroom.
- Create and collate online learning resources that promote student engagement and progress.
- Apply a range of teaching approaches to maximise the potential of the online environment.
- Engage students from diverse backgrounds and ensure all students succeed.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of assessment for learning and the principles of effective teaching.
- Encourage the use of flipped learning and technology in education.
- Contribute to the school’s wellbeing programme, which supports personal and academic growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher status.
- Experience teaching the secondary age range.
- Experience teaching groups of students.
- Strong desire to support all students, including those with SEND and mental health difficulties.
- Knowledge of teaching approaches and techniques for online learning.
- Strong diagnostic ability and a passion for guiding student learning.
- Ability to engage students from varied backgrounds.
- Belief in the value of learning from home and flipped learning.
- Enthusiasm for using technology in education.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Wellbeing at GCSE and A level.
- Knowledge of the Edexcel International GCSE specification and A-level CIE.
- Proven experience in using technology to stimulate engagement and improve outcomes.
- Experience creating highly engaging online learning content.
