The Opportunity:

As a PE Teacher, you will play a vital role in promoting physical health, teamwork, and lifelong fitness among students. You will help create an engaging and dynamic learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential through sport and physical education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality PE lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Create and implement engaging and inclusive activities that promote physical development and healthy lifestyles.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through regular evaluations and assessments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole school initiatives and curriculum development.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management, discipline, and student behavior.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and provide detailed progress reports.
  • Support the school’s improvement plan and contribute to policy development.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of PE facilities, including the gym and swimming pool.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and planning sessions as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience in the UK or a British Curriculum school.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and current assessment practices.
  • Experience using data systems, student tracking, and intervention strategies.
  • Ability to set clear learning objectives and develop effective lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).
  • Familiarity with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and EAL (English as an Additional Language) support.
  • Experience in curriculum development and policy implementation.
  • Strong understanding of school improvement strategies and student achievement.
