The Opportunity:

As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality physical education to students across the 4–19 age range. You will have the opportunity to teach GCSE and A Level PE, and contribute to a vibrant co-curricular sports program. This is an exciting time to join a dynamic and well-resourced Sports Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physical Education to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including GCSE and A Level PE.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular sports program, including weekday and Saturday morning activities.
  • Develop and implement sport-related initiatives in line with the school’s vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the wider life of the school and promote student well-being.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Stay up to date with developments in sport and education to enhance teaching practice.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and training programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Physical Education.
  • Strong knowledge and practical ability in either Hockey or Netball.
  • Ability to teach GCSE PE at Key Stage 4.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching up to Key Stage 5 (A Level PE and BTEC Sport).
  • Experience working in a co-educational school setting.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and leading sports programs.
  • Passion for sport and a commitment to student engagement and development.
