The Opportunity:
As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality physical education to students across the 4–19 age range. You will have the opportunity to teach GCSE and A Level PE, and contribute to a vibrant co-curricular sports program. This is an exciting time to join a dynamic and well-resourced Sports Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Physical Education to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including GCSE and A Level PE.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to the co-curricular sports program, including weekday and Saturday morning activities.
- Develop and implement sport-related initiatives in line with the school’s vision and goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the wider life of the school and promote student well-being.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
- Stay up to date with developments in sport and education to enhance teaching practice.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and training programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Physical Education.
- Strong knowledge and practical ability in either Hockey or Netball.
- Ability to teach GCSE PE at Key Stage 4.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching up to Key Stage 5 (A Level PE and BTEC Sport).
- Experience working in a co-educational school setting.
- Demonstrated success in developing and leading sports programs.
- Passion for sport and a commitment to student engagement and development.
