Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, rigorous PE lessons that engage students and promote physical wellbeing.
- Plan and implement differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using clear boundaries, sanctions, praise, and rewards.
- Analyse pupil data to inform lesson planning and improve student attainment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching practice.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and inclusive PE programmes.
- Promote a positive, inclusive school culture and support the school’s mission and values.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of PE equipment and facilities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in PE at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
- Experience in analysing pupil data to inform teaching and learning.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and training.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and diversity and inclusion training.
- Experience in using data management platforms for teaching and learning.
