Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, rigorous PE lessons that engage students and promote physical wellbeing.
  • Plan and implement differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using clear boundaries, sanctions, praise, and rewards.
  • Analyse pupil data to inform lesson planning and improve student attainment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching practice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and inclusive PE programmes.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive school culture and support the school’s mission and values.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of PE equipment and facilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in PE at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
  • Experience in analysing pupil data to inform teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and training.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and diversity and inclusion training.
  • Experience in using data management platforms for teaching and learning.
