Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, safe, and well-structured PE lessons that promote participation, teamwork, and resilience.
  • Support the development of an ambitious and inclusive PE curriculum that enables all pupils to make strong progress.
  • Lead and manage large groups of pupils effectively, modelling high standards of behaviour, professionalism, and care.
  • Contribute to extra-curricular clubs, fixtures, and enrichment opportunities that enhance pupils’ sporting experiences.
  • Play an active role in building a positive, disciplined, and aspirational school culture.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
  • Demonstrate resilience, optimism, and a commitment to continual professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young people and leading physical activity safely and effectively.
  • A passion for PE and school sport.
  • High expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement.
  • The right to work in the UK.

Preferred

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Coaching qualifications or relevant experience in PE.
  • Experience in curriculum design or assessment.
  • Background in professional development or leadership in education.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary on Ark unqualified or main teaching pay scales (£23,157 - £33,739).
  • Fixed-term contract until 20 July 2026.
  • Flexible start date.
