Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of Individual Learning Plans under the supervision of teachers.
- Provide regular feedback to class teachers and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Assist with the supervision of small groups of pupils when teachers are not present.
- Promote equality and ensure all pupils have access to learning opportunities.
- Participate in training to develop effective learning strategies and support student progress.
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development and performance management.
- Communicate clearly and confidently in spoken English to support students and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in literacy and numeracy.
- Basic knowledge of child development and learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with children with communication, severe, profound, or complex learning difficulties.
- Experience in a special educational needs setting.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices.
