The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and motivated PE Teacher to join its dynamic Sports Department. This role involves delivering high-quality PE and Games lessons across a wide range of ages and abilities, with a focus on developing students’ sporting skills and promoting an active lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective PE lessons for students from Year 3 to Year 11 and Games lessons for students from Year 3 to Year 13.
• Lead and coach teams in key sports, with a focus on girls’ cricket, football, hockey, netball, and tennis.
• Support the delivery of academic PE, including A-Level qualifications.
• Contribute to the school’s extensive extra-curricular programme and Saturday fixtures.
• Encourage student participation in competitive events and promote a healthy, active lifestyle.
• Deliver swimming lessons to a high standard, where applicable.
• Support the development of the school’s sporting provision and culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in physical education.
• Ability to teach PE and Games across a wide range of ages and abilities.
• Strong knowledge of A-Level PE curriculum.
• Commitment to coaching and leading sports teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience in coaching girls’ cricket or football.
• Ability to deliver swimming lessons to a high standard.
• Experience in working with young people in a school setting.
• Early Career Teacher or experienced teacher with a passion for sport and physical education.
