The Opportunity:

As a PE Teacher, you will have the opportunity to shape the physical education experience of students in Key Stage 3 and 4, while also contributing to the development of the PE department and leading after-school sports activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach GCSE PE, covering both theoretical and practical components.
  • Deliver engaging and inspiring PE lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Lead and manage after-school fixtures across a variety of sports.
  • Coach a range of after-school sports clubs three days a week.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE department and its offerings.
  • Support the school’s commitment to student development both academically and physically.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment during all PE activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Physical Education.
  • Ability to teach both theory and practical aspects of GCSE PE.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and development.
  • Experience working with students of all abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading sports fixtures and coaching after-school clubs.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of sports and physical activities.
  • Proactive approach to departmental development and collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Catholic educational values and ethos.
