The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join its Senior School team on a full-time maternity cover basis starting in September 2026. This role is ideal for newly qualified teachers and those with experience, offering the chance to make a real impact on student learning and achievement in a dynamic and innovative educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Chemistry at KS3 and KS4.
  • Develop and implement a creative and reflective approach to teaching that aligns with the school’s ethos.
  • Participate actively in the school’s extra-curricular programme and broader school life.
  • Utilise digital technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission of educating the whole child.
  • Contribute to the development of an innovative and flexible curriculum.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the appropriate age range.
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.
  • Ability to consistently deliver excellent lessons.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos and values.
  • Willingness to engage in the school’s extra-curricular activities.

Preferred

  • Experience with digital technology in teaching and learning.
  • Background in an independent or innovative curriculum setting.
  • Experience in a co-educational or mixed setting.
