The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join its Senior School team on a full-time maternity cover basis starting in September 2026. This role is ideal for newly qualified teachers and those with experience, offering the chance to make a real impact on student learning and achievement in a dynamic and innovative educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Chemistry at KS3 and KS4.
- Develop and implement a creative and reflective approach to teaching that aligns with the school’s ethos.
- Participate actively in the school’s extra-curricular programme and broader school life.
- Utilise digital technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission of educating the whole child.
- Contribute to the development of an innovative and flexible curriculum.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the appropriate age range.
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.
- Ability to consistently deliver excellent lessons.
- Commitment to the school’s ethos and values.
- Willingness to engage in the school’s extra-curricular activities.
Preferred
- Experience with digital technology in teaching and learning.
- Background in an independent or innovative curriculum setting.
- Experience in a co-educational or mixed setting.
