Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons at KS3 and KS4, ensuring engagement and academic success.
  • Develop and implement an innovative and flexible curriculum that reflects the school's ethos.
  • Participate actively in the school's extra-curricular programme and broader school life.
  • Utilise digital technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school's mission of educating the whole child.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Science education through reflective practice and professional development.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student achievement.
  • Support students in achieving high standards across all areas of the curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science for the appropriate age range.
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent lessons and raising student achievement.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the school's extra-curricular programme.
  • Understanding of the school's ethos and a willingness to engage in reflective and creative teaching practices.

Preferred

  • Experience with digital technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in a co-ordinated education setting.
  • Experience in a school with a non-selective intake.
  • Experience in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.
