The Opportunity:

As a Performing Arts Teacher, you will inspire and engage students with complex needs through creative and tailored lessons. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' learning and personal development, while working in a supportive and innovative school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Performing Arts lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Use a stage-not-age approach to ensure learning matches each student’s developmental level
  • Build confidence, resilience and independence through structured and creative teaching approaches
  • Monitor, assess and track student progress in line with EHCP outcomes
  • Collaborate with other staff to deliver a personalised curriculum that focuses on progression and meaningful outcomes
  • Support students in developing life skills and preparing for adulthood
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training
  • Contribute to the development of a vibrant and inclusive school culture

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in SEN or inclusive education
  • Experience teaching Performing Arts at Key Stages 2, 3, and 5
  • Ability to adapt learning creatively to meet a wide range of needs
  • Commitment to personalised learning and achieving the best outcomes for every student
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues

Preferred

  • Experience working with students who have autism, ADHD, or emotional behavioural difficulties
  • Experience in delivering vocational and life skills training
  • Experience with curriculum design and assessment in SEN settings
  • Familiarity with EHCP and inclusive education frameworks
