The Opportunity:
As a Piano and Organ Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting the school’s extensive musical provision. You will provide accompaniment for performances, Chapel services, and ensemble rehearsals, while also assisting with composition and performance events. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality piano accompaniment for solo performances, ensemble rehearsals, and Chapel services on the organ.
- Support students in GCSE and A Level Music lessons through composition assistance and guidance.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of department performances and events.
- Conduct and support other ensembles based on instrumental experience.
- Deliver individual piano and organ lessons under a separate freelance arrangement.
- Be available for scheduled performance and service times across the week.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s music program and student experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a pianist and organist.
- Strong ability to provide accompaniment for solo and ensemble performances.
- Experience in music composition and teaching at GCSE and A Level levels.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Availability for scheduled performance and service times.
Preferred
- Experience in conducting or leading ensembles.
- Background in teaching or working with young people.
- Experience with music performance events and event planning.
- Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities and work collaboratively with the music department.
