The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Peripatetic Drum Teacher to join our dynamic music team. This role involves delivering drum kit lessons to students in both individual and group settings, as well as contributing to the school’s extra-curricular music program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music education and dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality drum kit lessons to students individually and in small groups.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s extended music club provision.
  • Support students in reaching their musical goals and fostering a love for music.
  • Work collaboratively with the music team and other staff members.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Attend school events and contribute to the wider extra-curricular life of the school.
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during lessons.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified and experienced drum kit teacher with a passion for music education.
  • Ability to deliver both individual and group lessons effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching multiple instruments.
  • Familiarity with music technology and digital teaching tools.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • DBS check clearance or willingness to undergo one.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £38.77 per hour.
  • Flexible working hours with an approximate commitment of 3 hours per week.
