The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Peripatetic Music Teacher to deliver high-quality singing lessons to students aged 8–18. This role offers the opportunity to inspire young vocalists and contribute to a thriving musical programme that includes performances at prestigious venues. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students in their musical development and helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and creative singing lessons tailored to individual student needs
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular feedback to students and parents
- Support students in preparing for performances, examinations, and other musical opportunities
- Contribute to the school’s vibrant musical life by participating in ensembles, concerts, and events
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s music programme and ensure a consistent approach to teaching and learning
- Maintain strong communication and positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Adhere to the school’s policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good honours degree (performance or teaching preferred)
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality vocal teaching to a range of ages and abilities
- Strong communication, organisational, and administrative skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Commitment to fostering a culture of musical excellence and student development
Preferred
- Experience in choral music or ensemble work
- Experience with music examinations or performance preparation
- Experience working in an independent or school setting
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies
Compensation & Benefits:
