The Opportunity:

A Personal Assistant to the Deputy Head is required to provide high-level administrative support to the Senior Deputy Head (Academic) and Deputy Head (Pastoral and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead). This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations and effective communication across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support both the Senior Deputy Head (Academic) and Deputy Head (Pastoral and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead) with a wide range of administrative tasks.
  • Manage a demanding diary, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and events.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, minutes, and other documentation as required.
  • Coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all correspondence is handled professionally and promptly.
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of school events and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities and communications.
  • Provide flexible and proactive support in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a senior administrative or support role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational setting or within a school environment.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
  • Knowledge of school operations and management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
