The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Physics and Science Teacher to join a successful and collaborative department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a forward-thinking curriculum that supports young people in achieving their full potential in Science.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Physics to GCSE and Science at Key Stage 3 with a focus on developing students’ knowledge and skills.
• Deliver engaging and innovative lessons using ICT and practical techniques.
• Support the Head of Science in planning and delivering the Science curriculum.
• Contribute to the development of core units and course vision within the Science Department.
• Assist in the teaching of Biology and Chemistry at Key Stage 4 when required.
• Foster a vibrant and challenging learning environment that supports student progression.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A well-qualified graduate with a strong background in Science.
• Experience teaching Physics to GCSE and Science at Key Stage 3.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrable subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
• Confidence in using ICT in the classroom.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.

Preferred

• Experience with practical Physics and scientific techniques.
• Ability to contribute innovative ideas to the Science curriculum.
• Experience with AQA GCSE Combined Science Trilogy (8464) or AQA GCSE Physics (8463) syllabuses.
• Experience in working within a collaborative and successful department.
