The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Physics and Science Teacher to join a successful and collaborative department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a forward-thinking curriculum that supports young people in achieving their full potential in Science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Physics to GCSE and Science at Key Stage 3 with a focus on developing students’ knowledge and skills.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons using ICT and practical techniques.
- Support the Head of Science in planning and delivering the Science curriculum.
- Contribute to the development of core units and course vision within the Science Department.
- Assist in the teaching of Biology and Chemistry at Key Stage 4 when required.
- Foster a vibrant and challenging learning environment that supports student progression.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A well-qualified graduate with a strong background in Science.
- Experience teaching Physics to GCSE and Science at Key Stage 3.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrable subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
- Confidence in using ICT in the classroom.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience with practical Physics and scientific techniques.
- Ability to contribute innovative ideas to the Science curriculum.
- Experience with AQA GCSE Combined Science Trilogy (8464) or AQA GCSE Physics (8463) syllabuses.
- Experience in working within a collaborative and successful department.
